Central Plains Water District, Fessenden, North Dakota/Water Operator Position

Central Plains Water District of Fessenden, North Dakota, is looking for a full or part-time operator.  Our system includes an iron/manganese treatment plant, reservoirs, and approximatley 1100 miles of distribution pipe.  Duties will include: operation of water plant, assisting with the installation and repair of pipelines, repair of pumping and control equipment, overall maintenance and upkeep.

City of Devils Lake

 

This City of Devils Lake is looking for one full-time Operator I, Grade 7/8 position in the Public Utilities Department.  Salary ranges from $2,713.00 to $4,181.00 per month depending on experience.

 

Experience in construction or mechanics is a plus. Need to have a CDL or be able to obtain one within six months of employment. Must be able to operate a variety of equipment, from mowers to front end loaders. Work around pumping stations and high electrical systems and be able to detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions. Must be able to be on call during nights and weekends when necessary.

 

Clean and maintain work areas and equipment, and perform other related duties as assigned or as required. Position will be a Grade 7 and applicant must be able to obtain the Class I Water Certification and Class I Wastewater Certification from the ND Department of Health within 2 years of beginning employment.

 

Position may change to a Grade 8 once Class II Certifications have been obtained. Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
