Water Treatment Plant Operator

The Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes Rural Water Office Poplar/Wolf Point, MT is seeking a Class 1B (Montana) water treatment plant operator.  The treatment plant operator shall perform technical and direct work in the operation and maintenance of a  14 mgd Water Treatment Plant utilizing coagulation, ballasted flocculation and sedimentation, mixed media filtration, and disinfection processes.  This position requires a higher level of technical knowledge, the ability to independently oversee shift operations and coordinate the duties of other water treatment plant operators and laborers, and the posssession of a Montana Class 1B Operator Certification (surface water using chemical coagulation, filtration, and disinfection) or equivalent certification in other states, or the ability to obtain this certification within six months of becoming eligible.  Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Assiniboine and Sioux Rural Water Supply System. (ASRWSS) Manager. 

Salary: negotiated based on qualifications, experience and benefits. Range from $45,760 to $58,240 per annum.

The Eagel Shield Water Treatment Plant Class II Operator shall perform technical and direct work in the operaton and maintenance of a 14 mgd Water Treatment Plant utilizing coagulation, ballasted flocculation and sedimentation, mixed  media filtration and disinfection process.  A minimum requirement is the possession of a Montana Class 2B or 3B Operator certification, or equivalent certification in other states, or the ability to obtain this certification within six months of becoming eligible.  Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED, understand modern water treatment methods, theories, and practices.

Salary: negotiated based on qualifications, experience and benefits. Range from $39,529 to $47,940 per annum.
