Backflow Prevention and Cross Connection Control Program

02/24/2022 9:00 AM - 02/24/2022 10:00 AM

By April 1, 2022, all Community and Transient PWSs are required have a written Backflow Prevention and Cross Connection Control (BPCCC) containment program.  The BPCCC containment program will help protect drinking water from backflow hazards. In addition to the required containment program, PWSs may voluntarily develop a BPCCC comprehensive program, which is industry standard best practice, to protect against all backflow hazards.

Jacob Schafer with the ND Dept. of Environmental Quality will join us virtually on February 23 & 24 from 9am-10am to help systems navigate these new requirements. The virtual training will be the same each day and there will be time for questions at the end of each training.

For more information regarding the BPCCC, please visit the NDDEQ’s website at https://deq.nd.gov/MF/BPCCC/
