Julie Hein

Julie began working for ND Rural Water in December 2019 after retiring from her teaching career. She started as the source water protection specialist and on June 1, 2022, she became a water quality action specialist. She is a native of Wing, ND, and now serves as mayor of the city. She graduated from Mary College in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science and an emphasis in Mathematics. She taught high school science, math and health for 25 years. During her teaching career, earned a Master of Science in Education Administration and was elementary principal for three years. She is a mother of three adult children and the grandmother of seven. Hein fills her spare time a business owner, mayor of Wing, manager of the Wing Theatre, and water/wastewater operator for the city of Wing.
