Drinking Water Service Line Inventory Assistance

The ND DEQ Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program will be making assistance available to public water systems that are required to complete service line inventories under the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions.

This assistance is available due to funding received by the DWSRF program through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The DWSRF program will contract with technical assistance providers and match them up with public water systems that have requested assistance, at no cost to the public water system (to the extent that funds are available). Assistance may include records reviews and on-site investigations to complete the inventory and prepare a sample site plan, preparation of a Lead Service Line Replacement Plan, and preparation of a facility plan for public water systems that intend to fund lead service line replacements through the DWSRF program.

An application form is available here. If interested in obtaining assistance, please fill out the form and submit it as directed on page 3. At this time, there is no deadline for submitting the form. DWSRF staff may need to prioritize assistance based on resources and funding availability. The DWSRF program anticipates that the first grants for assistance will be awarded in April or May of 2023.
